On the day of your hire, you will need to arrive at Great Bedwyn Wharf at 11.30am. We have parking on site or Bedwyn Station is a 5-minute walk away. The team making sure the boat is ready for your group are all volunteers so arriving on time is essential and appreciated. If you know you will struggle to arrive by 11.30, please let us know as far in advance as possible. If you are delayed on the day and will be late, please call 07795 250511.
We appreciate it if our hirers arrive having read all manuals sent relating to their hire as this makes your dispatch much easier for our team and reduces the risk of you missing any essential information.
Our volunteer team will have cleaned and prepared your boat for you and our trained dispatcher will be ready to help your group depart for your holiday. Depending on your level of experience and whether you have completed training with us this season, the dispatcher will need to travel a short way along the canal with you, at least one lock, to ensure your group are prepared for handling the boat during your hire. If we feel there are any issues here, this will be raised with you and support offered at the time.
