Bruce Boats has won matching funding of £7,500 to convert one of our boats to electric propulsion. The total cost is estimated to be £15,000 and so we need to raise an additional £7,500.
The funds will be used to purchase and install either a hybrid electric engine or a pure electric solution.
This will be a test to decide how best to ‘green’ our boats over the next few years and help to remove carbon-based fuelling across the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust’s fleet.
