The Bruce Trust was created in 1988 and Bruce Boats was born. In January 2016 the Bruce Trust’s boats were gifted to and have been operated by the specially-formed “Bruce Branch” of the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust continuing to operate from Great Bedwyn. The Bruce Trust is still very much alive but its focus now is on fundraising and grant-giving for the specific benefit of people with special needs to enjoy the outstanding facilities now provided by the Bruce Branch of the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust.
One of the popular fund raisers is the 50/50 Lottery
The 50/50 Lottery Club is a fundraising scheme, offering you a chance to win one of THREE cash prizes every month: currently £60, £30, and £15. The more people who join the club, the higher the prize fund will be. From the total amount raised, 50% will go to the Trust to help with maintenance of the Bruce Boats and 50% will be split into cash prizes. So far over £25,000 has been raised towards Trust funds.

The More Who Play The Bigger The Prize!
The cost per ticket will be £1 per month and you can have up to 10 entries, i.e. £12 per year for one entry per month, £24 per year for 2 entries, £36 for 3 entries, etc. the standing order can be monthly OR annually. Once we have received your Standing Order form we will allocate you with a number(s) that will stay the same year on year unless you request a change. Winners will be paid via Bank Transfer.
The draw to find the winning ticket(s) will take place by 10th of the month following receipt of your standing order and winners are listed on the Bruce Trust website.
